Tuition

Our goal at SPH is to keep tuition affordable and costs as low as possible. Because we are a hybrid homeschool, we both require and rely on our parents and volunteers who give their time to teach at our school, and are not paid. This, combined with a generously low monthly facility rental, are what keep our tuition costs exceptionally inexpensive by comparison to other hybrid homeschools. Our tuition costs will be re-evaluated each year, and are determined by our facility rental fees, group liability insurance, our shared resources for art, science, and literature, and website fees.

At present, we only seek to cover our operating expenses and run as close to at-cost as possible. We will divide our estimated yearly operating expenses between the number of families we have in attendance to determine our tuition rates. Our goal is to have 8 or more families each year such that our tuition cost per family is about $500 (or less) plus student books. If we have less than 8 families, tuition could increase to be between $500-$1000 per family. Additionally we will seek donations from sponsors, and attempt minor fundraisers during the year, to offset the tuition rate, so that our families can recoup some of that expense. We regret that we cannot offer scholarships at this time.

A cost breakdown spreadsheet will be provided during the family interview, so that we can offer full transparency of where our funds go and families understand our operating costs.

Half of school tuition must be paid before a child can start school. The second half must be paid by December 1, 2023.

Tuition Fee per family: $500 . Tuition reduction to $450 if paid in full by August 1.

Textbooks : The school will order the books as a bundle, but parents are responsible for purchasing. Textbook costs run $$150-$250 per student dependent upon grade level. Some books are owned by the school and will be rented and returned to the school at the end of the year. Lost books will incur a fee equal to the price of the book. Parents wishing to see the book lists may ask administration for finalized lists.
